Under the radar Toad Hollow Vineyards has come up with the hat trick producing 3 Outstanding new releases – one white, one rosé, and one red. They are all delicious and great bargains.

If you like wines that are pure, balanced, and flavorful as I do then it is time for you to try this trio of wines. And, don’t let the whimsical name fool you. These wines are the real deal!

2017 Toad HollowVineyards Chardonnay Unoaked Francine’s Selection Mendocino County
Let me say at the outset that I really love this Chardonnay made without oak. The color is very light yellow and the perfume is floral and fruity with an exotic tinge. Elegant and finesseful yet with lots of fruit and flavor showing exotic nuances, the wine is impeccably balanced with a nice underlying crispness that follows through on the finish. In short, this is a really gorgeous, very pure California Chardonnay that is just plain delicious!     $14.99    Best Buy

2018 Toad Hollow Vineyards Dry Rosé of Pinot Noir Eye of the Toad Sonoma County
Very pale pink in color with a faint golden hue, this rosé has a lovely perfume of strawberry fruit with faint hints of floral spice and citrus. Elegant and finesseful with a nice underlying crispness the wine is beautifully balanced with lovely subtle strawberry flavors accented by a citrus tinged crispness on the finish. This is a really delicious and refined rosé that exudes charm and is a pleasure to drink. It is one of the first 2018 rosés on the market and is one not to miss.      $13.99    Best Buy

2016 Toad Hollow Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi California
Although Lodi has a long history of wine production it is not nearly as well known as Napa and Sonoma. But, make no mistake, there are some lovely wines being made from Lodi grapes. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example. Blended with 15% Merlot the wine has a deep color and a great perfume of mulberry with cedar and spice tinges. Full of very pure fruit flavors accented by subtle hints of cedar and spice the wine is beautifully balanced with richness and depth.  This is a delicious Cabernet with lots of youthful appeal that can be enjoyed now or over many years into the future. And, do I need to say that the price is a great bargain?      $16.99    Best Buy
