I have been buying, tasting and drinking the wines of Frédérick Esmonin for many years. Now the 2019s are here. As usual they are very special and without question they are great wines from a great vintage (to read an earlier article with background commentary on the domaine and tasting notes on the 2018s click here). These are wines y0u do not want to miss. They are cellar treasures. The Frédérick Esmonin wines are imported by Atherton Wine Imports  Atherton, CA

The yields in 2019 were very low and this continued in 2020 and 2021 with 2021 below 10/Hl/Ha and 2020 not much higher. As a result we can expect these wines to also show great concentration. So once again the Frédérick Esmonin wines should be superb. And as an added bonus they represent good value in today’s Red Burgundy market. So be on the look out for these wines. This is a Red Burgundy producer who should be on the must buy list of every Red Burgundy lover!

The layers of fruit are lush and rich with impeccable balance and display a long lasting finish. Delicious now the wine will continue to evolve over many years and become a cellar treasure – Extraordinary.    $200
