Toad Hollow Vineyards consistently makes fine food friendly and value priced wines sourced from Northern California vineyards. Their mission statement is to produce quality wines that are delicious, interesting and accessible. The newest releases are a continuation of the trend and not to be missed!

2019 Toad Hollow Vineyards  Dry  Rosé of Pinot Noir Eye of the Toad  &  2017 Toad Hollow Vineyards  Merlot Sonoma County Richard McDowell’s Selection

And True To Form Both Are Lovely Wines And Great Values

2019 Toad Hollow Vineyards  Dry  Rosé of Pinot Noir Eye of the Toad

Toad Hollow made one of the first bone dry rosés in the US and they have continued to produce really lovely rosés every year. Released earlier this year this rosé is one of the first 2019 rosés to reach the market. And, as always, it is really delicious and a great value. Light pink in color with a faint golden hue it has a gorgeous perfume of raspberry with an exotic floral tinge. Brimming with fruit on the palate, raspberry and watermelon are intermingled with exotic tinges and the wine shows great elegance and style with a crisp lingering finish. This is yet another great example of the delicious rosés that Toad Hollow produces each year. Don’t miss it!    Outstanding Plus.       $13.99      Best Buy

2017 Toad Hollow Vineyards  Merlot Sonoma County Richard McDowell’s Selection

This wine is  made from 100% Merlot sourced from the estate vineyard and other vineyards in Sonoma County. It is round and lush yet with complexity and flavor and is a great example of what California Merlot can be. With a deep color and a lovely exotic tinged perfume overlaying a myriad of red and black fruits showing just a kiss of spice there is already a suggestion of elegance to follow. And, on the palate the wine really delivers. Elegant and finesseful yet with lots of flavor encompassed in a cornucopia of plum, berry, and cherry flavors with floral spice nuances the wine is beautifully balanced and irresistibly delicious. Don’t miss this wine. The price/quality ratio makes it an early candidate for red wine value of the year – Extraordinary.         $15.99         Best Buy

If you like wines that are pure, balanced, and flavorful as I do then it is time for you to try these Toad Hollow wines. And, don’t let the whimsical name fool you. These wines are the real deal and very affordable! That’s a win/win!!
